You will be notified by when the streaming is live by a recording symbol on the icon. You will also get a notification
with a link to the Twitch.tv channel so you can go right to Twitch.tv to watch live streaming. 

To quickly check what is going on on the channel you can view a preview with the live stream in a pop-up window after you click
on the icon.
