We want to support people being more aware of their consumption choices, and make better choices.  For this reason we want to stop advertising for a day, and encourage people to stop and think about their consumption choices, without being told to buy anything from anyone.

A better-informed consumer will lead to consumption choices that make people happier and more satisfied.
