Many Netgear and D-Link model routers use 192.168.0.1 as the default IP address. Used as a router gateway in a private IPv4 network address. To avoid address conflicts, only one device can use 192.168.0.1 on the network. Other common standard gateways are 192.168.1.1 and 10.0.0.1.

Since this is a special IPv4 network address, it is possible to use 192.168.0.1 for each device on the network.
