Increasingly all the things you need to keep track of have a URL and you access them inside a browser. That's why you always have five windows open with 23 tabs each - they're so small you can't even tell them apart! 

With BrainTool you can save, tag and link all your online information sources (web sites, Google docs, gmails, files, photos, Slack channels, social media groups, code repos, wiki pages, task backlogs, Jupyter notebooks, etc etc etc) and then see them organized in the BrainTool SidePanel, along with your annotations and notes. 

Adding a tag takes just 3 or 4 keystrokes. Based on your tag organization you can open, close or highlight groups of windows and tabs and thus navigate through your own personal information space. Taking just a click to open or close all your resources for a given task or project means you can keep your workspace clean and organized.

NB a Google account is required and you will need to authorize access to save to your GDrive on initial install.

BrainTool is built on top of Chrome and Google Drive. All your tags and notes are stored in your personal BrainTool File and saved to your GDrive so its available to you and only you. No data is saved or sent anywhere else.  The BrainTool File is a plain text file that you can view, edit or share with any tool that handles plain old text. The markup is in Org-Mode format so you can leverage a vast ecosystem of other productivity tools.
